I bought a XPS M1330 with a 4 yr service contract. This was my 5th Dell system. I spent three weeks with XPS support trying to get it fixed. I called at least 1 time every day and as many as 3 times a day. Every call lasted over an hour. I talked to XPS Tech Support and customer support. I have over 5 support numbers and yet every time I called I had to start over. They do not retain any information. They told me they would ship me a new part and I should return the bad one. I bought mine direct from Dell, 3 year exchange warranty and the same price with seasonal discount, delivered free within a week.I'll let others go on about the technical details, but I've never been happier with a monitor. When shopping, I had trouble figuring out why this one was more than the HP version. They sell the same screen with inferior electronics (which won't scale images, don't have RGB and VGA inputs, etc) for a slightly lower price. Without monitor scaling, as this one DOES have, you may not be able to see the computer's boot sequence without a separate monitor. We bought the Dell Inspiron 15 (1545) to replace an aging ACER laptop as an "everyday" laptop for my teen son to use for homework and casual gaming. For the price, the performance, features and display have far exceeded our expectations. While not a gaming or graphics power machine, it has more than enough processor speed, memory, and hard drive space for our needs. This is a very simple laptop to set up and use. The box only contains the PC (with battery already installed), the power supply, and a packet of software CDs (which I did not use) with minimal documentation.
